A voice and a choice for our mental health

Sussex Central YMCA

Sussex Central YMCA offer help to many different young people, but especially those who are isolated and struggling through homelessness, exclusion from school, family breakdown, poor mental health or drug and alcohol problems.

The organisation was first established in 1919 and has been working in the local community ever since. In the last decade we have grown dramatically and now provide a wide range of services across Brighton & Hove, and in East and West Sussex.  The following departments at Sussex Central YMCA cover many different services, including:

Central Services HR, Chief Executive, Senior Management Team and Finance Dept: 01273 222550

Youth, Sports and Social Enterprise: Youth clubs, sports activities and learning programmes for young people. This department also covers our charity shops, and our recycling and amenity site in Hove, plus a warehouse project in Mile Oak: 01273 731724 Director: Stuart Johnson

Housing and Support Services: A range of support and advice services for young people including housing advice, tenancy support and supported accommodation, advice centres and Right Here Brighton and Hove. Therapeutic Services and Family Services: Counselling for children, young people, and families in a range of locations like schools, colleges and advice centres; family mediation; and Family Services 01273 320500 Director: Kim Crewe
