A voice and a choice for our mental health

Mental Health Promotion Team

Join us as a MHP volunteer, to help us promote positive mental health and wellbeing to 13-25 year olds in Brighton and Hove and across Sussex.

What do MHP volunteers actually do?

  • Meet up weekly to come up with activities and materials for workshops and healthy conversations.
  • Visit schools, colleges, youth clubs and residential homes (with another volunteer and the team coordinator Chloe) to run these workshops with 13-25 year olds.
  • Take part in external consultations and focus groups, from organisations that are seeking young people’s opinions.
  • Design and develop leaflets and other resources to help young people find support services in their area.

“What I like most about volunteering with Right Here is meeting other people who care about the whole area of mental health. It’s fun working on the campaigns, discussing mental health issues and being creative about how we can make a difference.” Christine, Volunteer
