Training

Right Here is committed to providing all volunteers with relevant training to their role. There are some basic subjects that all volunteers will be offered training. Additionally volunteers will be offered training relevant to their role to enhance their knowledge and skills.

All volunteers will be offered an induction into the project partnership organisations (Sussex Central YMCA and Mind in Brighton and Hove). If at any time you are worried that there are things you don’t know or areas of your role that you don’t feel confident in doing, then please tell us so we can help you.

Support

We will offer you supervision and support to develop your volunteer role. In this time we will discuss successes, training needs, ideas, and any problems or worries. We will also ensure that any ideas or opinions you have about your volunteering can be shared.

Volunteers have regular one to one meetings with project staff and sometimes there will be group support meetings with other volunteers working in the same role.
