A voice and a choice for our mental health
New well being leaflet launched
Volunteers aged 16 – 25 from the project have produced a new ‘well being leaflet’
‘WHAT CAN I DO when it comes to? – a young person’s guide to looking after yourself’
The leaflet, which folds up to the size of a credit card, contains tips we have found useful to keep our own health on track and to keep emotionally and mentally healthy.
It can be downloaded by following this link
It is broken down into different areas for young people to focus on, things like eating properly, talking about your problems and being kind to yourself, as well as support services in the city.
Project volunteers aim to have these useful leaflets easily available to young people throughout Brighton and Hove in clinical and non – clinical settings. We are particularly keen to engage with GP surgeries in making them freely available in the waiting and consultation rooms, as well as a tool in offering non clinical advice to support young people’s wellbeing.
