A voice and a choice for our mental health
Young Men’s Health consultations
Wellbeing (March 2014)
In February 2014 the Young Men’s Health Champions asked young men and women in Brighton and Hove about their wellbeing: what they do to look after themselves, and what’s stopping them from doing more. Almost 300 young people completed the survey, and Jasmine Saunders was the lucky winner of the £50 Nandos voucher!

This report will be combined with several others being done with other ‘hard-to-reach’ groups of people in the city, and will be used to help the City Council and the NHS to plan the city’s new Wellbeing Strategy 2014-2017.
Urgent Care consultation (Sept 2013)
A&E is swamped, waiting times are long… but there are lots of other alternatives to A&E. The NHS asked us to find out what they can change to ensure that young men know about all the options available to them when they need urgent care.
Our team asked 100 young men aged 16-25 living in Brighton and Hove for their opinions, which resulted in our volunteer’s report in September 2013. This was sent to the NHS, and included in their Urgent Care Services Report in October 2013.
